The Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce that Alyssa Frezza has accepted the position of Academic Coordinator in the Department of Athletics and Recreation, effective May 1, 2019. Alyssa will be responsible for providing the overall academic and student-development initiatives for student-athletes.
Alyssa earned her Ed.D. from Johnson & Wales University where she completed her dissertation on Academic Services for College Athletics at Division II and III Institutions. Prior to accepting this position, Alyssa served as the Academic Coordinator on the New Bedford campus and as an Academic Advisor on the Fall River campus. During this time, she has served on numerous committees and implemented a number of student-focused initiatives.
Alyssa brings experience and a proven track record of success in the advising area, which will be invaluable to student-athlete success.
