The Bristol Community College Bayhawks athletic department would like to acknowledge alumnus and former All-American basketball player Shane DaRosa for being named to the Cape Verdean National Basketball team. Shane a native of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, played for the Bayhawks when they were known as the Bee's, and averaged 24 points per game during his final season. Shane played his high school basketball for Shea High School in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Shane also plays professionally in the ABA for the Providence Sky Chiefs, and during the 2014-2015 season averaged 18.8 points a game.
