The Bristol Community College Bayhawks men's basketball team earned a hard fought victory over a tough Gateway squad Thursday night 73-72 at home. The victory earned Head Coach Rob Delaleu his 100th career win at Bristol Community College, making him the winningest coach in school history. Coach Delaleu has been with the Bayhawks since their inception and has built the program into a perennial regional contender.
The Bayhawks were led by Josh Nelson, who scored 15 points, including the game winning bucket with 4 seconds left to clinch the victory for the Bayhawks. Nelson also added 4 rebounds and 4 steals on the night. Former all region player Jerell Gomes added 14 points, 6 boards, and 3 assists while Armani Baker chipped in 13 points and 4 rebounds in the win for the Bayhawks.
The Bayhawks next play on Saturday, December 12 at Holyoke at 3pm.
