Men's Basketball Represented on All-Region Team

Four members of the Bristol Bayhawks Men's Basketball Team were named to the NJCAA Region XXI All-Region Team.  Jerell Gomes was named First Team All-Region, Joshua Nelson was named to the Second Team, Jeremiah Ephraim and Armani Baker made Honorable Mention.

Jerell Gomes (sophomore) goes down in the record books as the first basketball athlete to reach 1,000 career points.  He accumulated 1,005 points in his career.  His 613 point season in 2015-16 put him 5th in the country in total points and 10th in points per game.

Joshua Nelson (sophomore) averaged 13.7 points this season along with 64 steals, which placed him 11th in the country in steals, averaging 2.9 per game.  Nelson was named to the Region XXI Men's Basketball Tournament All-Tourney Team this past weekend.  Nelson had a 29 point performance in the Region XXI Championship Game.

Two Bayhawk freshman, Jeremiah Ephraim and Armani Baker were key contributors, both averaging over 10 points per game.  Ephraim was among the top scorers in the region, while Baker was among the top rebounders.
