Men's Basketball Jumps out to a 4-0 record in Region XXI

BCC men's basketball hold on and start the season 4-0 for the first time in school history! The Bayhawks started well opening a 30-15 lead but Roxbury CC players behind Jeffrey Tabb and Lawrence Chery did not quit and came all the way back to take the lead at halftime 39-38.
The Bayhawks made some adjustments and controlled most of the second stanza after freshman Corey Green (Taunton,MA) hit a three to push the score 65-51 with 6:40 left to play.

However, RCC has other plans and did not quit as the Bayhawks bench could not sustain a quick 10-0 run over the next 48 seconds bringing the score to 65-61. Coach Delaleu had to use 2 timeouts and insert his game starters for the duration.
Corey Green made several key baskets down the stretch and RCC had won more shot to send the game into OT but fell short.

The final BCC 78 RCC 75. Corey Green scored a career high 25 to lead all scorers. Freshman Zecaree Viega (East Providence, RI) scored 17 and grabbed 8 rebounds. Freshman Joshua Winbush scored 16 points on 8 of 11 from the floor and had 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.

The Bayhawks are on the road Thursday against Quinsigmond CC. 7pm start to see if they can make it 5 in a row...
