Bayhawks on Top of Region XXI Standing's

The Bayhawks men's basketball team stands alone at the top of the Region XXI standing's after defeating Bunker Hill Community College last night, 85-75.  Heading into last night's action, both teams were tied for first place in Region XXI heading into the holiday break.

Corey Green (Taunton, MA) was on fire last night, making seven three point shots on eleven attempts.  Green finished the night with a game high 38 points, including a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line.  The only other Bayhawk in double digits was Zecaree Veiga (Providence, RI) who had 20 points on the night.  The freshman big man, 6'7" Joshua Winbush (Lake Charles, LA) played while battling a swollen right hand and did not put up the usual offensive numbers with 2 points, but Winbush made his presence felt on the defensive end with 6 blocked shots.

Women's Basketball defeated Bunker Hill earlier in the night, 88-50.

The Bayhawks are heading into final exams week and the holiday break.  Games will resume on January 11, 2018 when Sullivan County Community College (NY) travel to Fall River.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM
