On Thursday night the men's basketball team won a decisive victory against the University of Connecticut at Avery Point with a final score of 69 – 55. It was a tense first half with the Bayhawks going into the second period trailing by 2 points, but in a spectacular show of skill, came back scoring 40 points in the second half. The team was led by Zecaree Veiga, scoring 20 points with 7 rebounds while Joshua Winbush proved invaluable making a double double with 16 points scored and 11 rebounds (7 of which were defensive) as well as 8 blocks throughout the course of the game. Alex Holloway and Corey Green helped propel the team to victory with 5 assists each, and scoring 14 and 11 points respectively. All in all it was a fantastic showing by the men's basketball team as they make their way towards Nationals.
