The Men's Basketball team scored another impressive victory on Saturday night against Springfield Technical Community College. The Bayhawks took the lead in the first half and maintained the lead through the second, ending the game with a final score of 73 – 54. Your Bayhawks truly exemplified the cohesion of teamwork. Each player made substantive plays which lead to the teams overall victory. Zecaree Veiga was on fire, leading the team with 21 points throughout the night along with 6 rebounds. Joshua Winbush was at it again as well, scoring 14 points with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Alex Holloway made a fantastic contribution to the game with 6 assists and 6 rebounds to compliment his 11 points. Harkan Arda Coban and Juan Espinal both proved a force for the team, scoring 10 points and 6 rebounds each. Coban was a powerhouse on Offense with 5 of those 6 rebounds made offensively for the team. Espinal proved indispensable on defense adding 1 block to his 6 defensive rebounds. Caleb Provitt proved one of the most versatile players this weekend, making great contributions on both offense and defense with a combined total of 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and most impressively 4 steals on top of his 6 points. The team's effectiveness as a unit truly shone through on Saturday and if they keep it up the Bayhawks will soar all the way to Nationals.
