Men's Basketball Opens the 2019 Season with 101-87 Win Over Vaughn College

Fall River, MA -- Men's basketball starts off the 2019 season under first year head coach Brian Fernandes with 101 - 87 win over non region opponent Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology on Saturday night at LaFrance Gymnasium.

The Bayhawks have taken the court with former Head Coach, Rob Delaleu for the last eleven seasons but Saturday night was the start of a new era under first year head coach Brian Fernandes who starts his career with a well earned victory. The Bayhawks offense did not dissapoint scoring 101 points on the night including 11 three point baskets.  Sophomore, Chad N'Guia led the way with 27 points and 6-10 from behind the arc.  Sophomore, Stanley Freeman and Freshman, AB Medrano drained 21 points each.

The Bayhawks were trailing 47-43 at halftime.  A 57 point second half surge for the Bayhawks propelled them to victory.
