Bayhawks Battle Mass Bay to 63-50 Victory

Taunton, MA -- The Bayhawks climb back from a 22 point first half defecit to defeat the Mass Bay Buccaneers on Saturday afternoon, 63-50. Bristol picks up their second win of season over Region XXI opponent Mass Bay Community College and improve to 10-1 on the season.

The Bayhawks trailed by as much as 22 points in the first half being held to 4 points in the first five minutes of the game. Head Coach Brian Fernandes and the Bayhawks remained poised and chipped away at the Bucaneers lead heading into halftime trailing by 8 points, 32-24. Bristol's defense held Mass Bay to just 18 points in the second half and they found their rythm on offense with Abou Jobe and Braylon Johnson knocking down key three point baskets.

Dion Hazard Jr once again led the way for Bristol with 16 points, Abou Jobe added 15 points, and Tyler Cicione 10 points.

Saturday's win is the fifth in as many games for the Bayhwks and currently are sitting in 2nd place in the Region XXI standing's. They are back in action next Saturday January 29th when they travel to Northern Essex Community College.
