Hosting our first home match yesterday at Swansea Country Club, the Bayhawks matched up with four other colleges. Amongst these colleges were Dean, Massasoit, Springfield Tech., and CCRI. The Bayhawks were represented by two of our players, Beau Jacques and Matthew Murphy. Both our players had an amazing game and represented the Bayhawks well.
CCRI held the team win with their four players shooting a 349. Our very own Beau Jacques was the individual winner. Beau shot an 80 on the day, three strokes better than two golfers, Eric Carlos (CCRI) and Austin McCreary (Dean), who tied for second place shooting an 83. Freshman, Matthew Murphy finished 7th out of 15 golfers shooting an 89. Both golfers have already qualified for the Region XXI Golf Tournament scheduled for next month. Way to go Bayhawks!
