Golf Team Has Outstanding Showing At Regionals; Murphy Reaches National Tournament For 2nd Straight Year

The Bristol Community College golf team had an outstanding showing over the last few days in the Region XXI Tournament, and one Bayhawks golfer did well enough to not only win the tournament, but also earn a place in the national tournament. For the second straight year, Matt Murphy will represent the Bayhawks in the national golf tournament. Murphy started the second day of the Region XXI Tournament one stroke behind, but came roaring back to win the regionals by six strokes. Murphy was the team MVP this season and looks to continue his dominant play at the national tournament. This season's golf team included: Matt Murphy, Nick Mello, Corbin Lenz, Connor Chace, Eric Pavlik, and Brian Young. The team was coached by Wayne Wood.
