The Bristol Bayhawks Men's Soccer team's impressive season will continue! Bristol is set to host the first round of the Regional XXI Tournament. The Bayhawks will face the Cougars of Holyoke Community College on Tuesday October 24th at 3:30pm on the Bristol Taunton campus at 2 Hamilton Street Taunton, MA. These two teams met on September 19th, when the Bayhawks traveled to Holyoke and won with a final score of 6-0.
Bristol has been led by Sophomore goalie Tyler Holden (#1), who is the team's leader on and off the field. The Bayhawk's scoring leaders are Sophomore Jordan Pacheco (#9) with 8 goals and Freshman Youseff Ismail (#7) with 5 goals. Other notable Freshman contributors include Ricardo Macedo (#8), Jose Jourez (#19), and Jason Riz (#23). Sophomore Colin Perreira (#10) continues to provide a strong defensive presence and steady toughness amongst opponents.
Coach Adam Gabbard has done a fantastic job turning around the program. The Bayhawks did not make the Regional tournament last season and now find themselves as the 3rd seed and a hosting the first-round playoff game. The Bayhawks now have a 5-3-2 overall record, 4-2-2 conference record and a 4-1-1 home record this season.
