Bayhawks Fall Athletics Recap

The Bristol Bayhawks Men's Soccer team's season ended on Tuesday October 24th. Bristol the #3 seed lost at home to Holyoke the #6 seed of the NJCAA Regional 21 tournament with a 4-2 final score. 

  

Holyoke got off to a quick start with a goal in the first 7 minutes of the game. Bristol then found themselves down 3-0 at halftime. The Bayhawks showed plenty of grit in the second half, scoring two consecutive goals by Colin Perriera and Jose Juarez. Those goals tightened the game to a 3-2 deficit with 8 minutes left before Holyoke put the game away on a goal by Sleiden Edmorin. 

  

Bristol has plenty to be proud of, ending the season with a winning record. The Bayhawks will look to return a strong group of Freshman contributors which include Youseff IsmailJose JuarezEsvin MoralesJason Riz and Ricardo Macedo. The Bayhawks finish the season with a 5-4-2 overall record, 4-3-2 conference record and a 4-2-1 home record this season. 

  

Meanwhile, the Bristol Bayhawks Women's Volleyball team's inaugural season finished with the team sweeping a tri-match held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, MA. Bristol won the first of two matches, 3-2 versus Massbay. The Bayhawks then played back-to-back against Roxbury the same night and finished the season with a 3-0 victory. 

  

The team has been led by former player and first year coach Mikayla Nadeau. Sophomore standouts include Abbey Machedo , Gabby Piscani, Grace Dershel and Sandria Soria. The team is in a good position to build on this year's success with a strong Freshmen class returning which includes Angie ConceptionJolie Ferro and Megan Rose

  

Bristol finishes the season with a 4-10 overall record. The Bayhawks will now take the momentum of this season's ending into next year. The team practices and plays their home games at our Bristolcc Taunton center campus. Please follow the team on all of our athletics social media pages. 

 

First year head coach Stephen Gardiner guided the men/women's cross-country team who competed in the Western New England College invitational on 10/14. Freshman standout Matthew Laurent ran the 8k at the event for an official time of 30:51 (new school record). Alot to look forward to next season!
