Men's and Women's Cross Country Makes their Debut

The men's and women's cross country program made its debut Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.  Freshman runners, Griffin Manchester, Michael Laboy, Madelyn Gibson, Sasha Alves and Ally Toupin will go down in the record books as the first men's and women's cross country runners to start and finish a meet for Bristol Community College.  In a field of 124 runners, Manchester and Laboy finished 122 and 123 respectively. In the Women's meet, Madelyn Gibson finished 130 out of 159 and Sasha Alves finished 153 and Ally Toupin finished 156.

First year head coach said "this was a great experience for our runners to be involved in this event."  The UMD Invite saw runners of all collegiate levels, NCAA division's I, II, and III, as well NJCAA members.

The next meet is scheduled for Saturday 923 at the Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park in Boston, MA.  The women start at 12:30 pm and the men 1:05pm.
