Zane is a recent graduate of Methodist University where he was a two-year Captain of the Methodist University Varsity Men's Golf Team, Two-time Division Three All-American, Member of the Division Three National Runner-Up team, and Vice President of the Methodist University Golf Association.  In that time, while going to school and working all over the country for various Golf clubs and schools, he passed the PGA of America Player Ability Test in 2017 and later, in 2019 earned the Jim McLean teaching certification.
