History Made: Bayhawks Women's Soccer Break Personal Record

Your Bayhawks Women's Soccer have made history, breaking their own record for games won in a season, and there's plenty of season left!  They broke the record on Thursday when they went to Springfield Technical Community College and won 5-1.  Alyssa Tortora (17) was on fire, scoring all 5 of Bristol's goals with 2 assists from Mackenzie Kennedy (10), as well as assists from Captains Makayla Pinkston (7) and Kassidy Raposo (9), along with a final assist to close out the game by Ashlee Cordeiro (27).  Women's Soccer Coach Jason Tassinari said of the team, "I'm so very proud of this group of players. They're a wonderful group of young ladies who respect each other, the program, and the game.  They've come a long way since the beginning of preseason.  Setting a record for wins in a season is a tribute to their hard work, coachability, resilience and overall team chemistry.  They are a 'team' in the truest sense of the word.  I've demanded a lot from them on and off the field, and they've responded to every challenge.  I couldn't be more proud and thankful to be their coach.  I'm excited for the immediate and long term future of this program."  Bristol Director of Athletics, Derek Viveiros, shared the coaches sentiments, saying, "I am very proud of what the women's soccer program has accomplished to this point in the season.  They have competed extremely well, represented Bristol Community College extremely well, and they are just a great group of women who are on a mission to make a strong statement this season.  They have won more games than any Bristol Women's Soccer team to date and they still have six games to play and I look forward to see how they close out the season."  Come see what they do next on Saturday 10/12 at Britland Park when they face off against Bunker Hill Community College!  Go Hawks!
