CAMBRIA, OLIVEIRA WIN POST SEASON AWARDS

Three members of the women's soccer team were recognized with post season awards.

Freshmen Jenna Cambria from Kingston, MA and Kim Oliveira from Swansea, MA were selected as NJCAA Division 3 All-Americans.  This is the first time in the history of the women's soccer program that 2 players have been named All-Americans in the same season.  Head Coach Jason Tassinari was named NJCAA Northeast Region Coach of the Year.

Cambria, who was selected to the All-American first team, started all 18 games for the Bayhawks.  In addition to being named All-American, she was also selected to the all-Region team and was a team captain. She finished the season with 15 goals and 30 assists.

"Jenna's work rate, passion for the program, and leadership are 3 of her greatest personal qualities", says Head Coach Jason Tassinari.  "on the field, she's a versatile player who played so many different positions for us this year.  I think the only position she didn't play was goalkeeper! She always came ready to compete and win, and that attitude rubbed off on her teammates."

Oliveira, who was selected to the All-American second team, finished the season with 14 goals and 20 assists.  Kim was also selected to the All-Region team.

"Kim's maturity, reliability, technical skill and soccer intellect are her greatest assets," says Coach Tassinari.  "she's a wonderful teammate, loves the game, always has a positive demeanor, and is loved by all her teammates and coaches."

Both Cambria and Oliveira will be back in 2023 to help lead the Bayhawks defend their 2022 Region 21 championship.
