Bayhawks Bag 15th Win on Sophomore Night!

On Thursday February 15, the Bristol Bayhawks defeated the Roxbury Tigers, 85-82. Before the game, Bristol recognized its two Sophomore captains, Hayden Cayton and Aidan Rock to a full crowd at the Bristolcc Taunton campus. Aidan Rock in his 50th career game as a Bayhawk, led Bristol with 32 points including 5 three-pointers and grabbed 12 rebounds. Rock is now averaging 14.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game on the season.

 

The Region's leader in assists, Freshman Curran Farnworth had a career-high in points with 18 and added 10 assists. Farnworth scored a layup to go up 3 points with 13 seconds left off a clutch assist from the team's leading scorer, Marcus White. White finished with 17 points. Camden Morin (8 points, 13 rebounds) came up with a stolen pass with only 7 seconds left to seal the victory.

 

Bristol has clinched the playoffs and currently sits as the 4th seed with 3 games remaining in the regular season. Coach Fernandes added, "We've been in some closer games lately and I hope it prepares us well for the playoffs. Overall, it was a great night for our program!"

 

Bristol improves to 15-9 overall, 12-7 in conference play and 8-4 at home. The Bayhawks will be back in action on the road, Thursday February 22nd at Massbay.
