On Monday, November 25^th the Bristol Bayhawks men's basketball team earned an honorable mention on the National Rankings. The Division three national rankings only go to 15, as the Bayhawks were listed as the fourth team on the honorable mention list. This projects Bristol as a top 20 team in the Country.

 

Bristol has now started the season with a 6-1 overall record. The Bayhawks consecutively beat two nationally ranked teams, Hostos Community College in Bronx, NY and defending Region XXI champions, Northern Essex Community College. Bristol averages over 85 points, over 40 rebounds and over 10 blocks per game. 

 

Coach Fernandes, who last had the Bayhawks ranked in January 2022 with a 10-1 record, spoke about his team. "I'm proud of this group, they worked extremely hard and are well deserving of this accomplishment. It adds pressure and I'm excited to see how they respond".
