On Saturday February 1st, the Bristol Bayhawks men's basketball team traveled to Uconn Avery Point to take on the Pointers. Bristol led 34-27 at halftime before winning with a final score of 84-67. The Bayhawks improve to a record of 12-8 overall, 11-5 in conference (3rd place) and 5-3 on the road this season.
Sophomore Darien Gibson (New Bedford MA) led the Bayhawks with 21 points. Sophomore Tyrone Countrymon (Dorchester MA) added 15 points and 10 assists. Freshman Landon Cayton (Swansea MA) had 14 points and Freshman Christ Lebrun (Haiti) continued his strong inside play with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
The Bayhawks will host Massbay Community College on Thursday, February 6th at 7pm. All home games are played at the Bristolcc Taunton campus and live streamed on the Bristolcc Youtube page. Please follow our athletics website and social media pages for more information.
