The Bristol Community College men's soccer team defeated a tough Ben Franklin team Saturday at Durfee High School 3-1. The Bayhawks dominated the game offensively and defensively throughout the game. The defense was lead by Matt Viera (New Bedford Voc.) and Alex Pavao (Tiverton) who helped hold a gritty Ben Franklin team to only 6 shots on goal. Josh Cardoso (New Bedford Voc.) made five saves in the winning effort. The offense was lead by Felipe Silva (Durfee) who had two headers for goals one of which was assisted by Yuri Maipira (Rogers) and Yveglad Escalazy (Durfee) who scored on an assist by Bryce Marshall (Apponequet), who also added two shots on net. The win improved the Bayhawks to 5-2 on the season.
