Men Win Hard-Fought Bout against Quinsigamond

The Men's Soccer Team beat Quinsigamond 2-1 on Tuesday after a hard fought game by both teams.  Guilherme Antunes (9) set the pace early on, darting up the field to score the first goal, unassisted, less than 5 minutes in. Bradley Teixeira (7) scored two minutes later with an assist from Salaheddine Haymess (22).  Then Quinsigamond upped there game and put Bristol on the defensive.  Through excellent defense led by team captain Matthew Mota (4) and goalie Wyatt Pinto (1), no goals were scored against Bristol in the first half.  Quinsigamond kept up the preassure during the second half.  Pinto made a total of 5 great saves throughout but a third of the wayinto the second half Bristol accidentally scored on their own goal.  This amped up the preassure on the defense and kept them busy successfully defending from further goals.  It was a great game and a testament to Bristol athletes tenacity and GRIT.  Go Hawks!
