On Wednesday October 16th, the Bristol Bayhawks Women's Soccer traveled to Boston to face Bunker Hill Community College. The Bayhawks got a 6-3 win, securing a playoff spot for the Region XXI Tournament.
The Bayhawks were led by leading goal scorer, Morgyn Riedl (Lakeville MA) who had three goals in the game. Freshman Savannah Sousa (New Bedford MA) continued her strong play with two goals and one assist. Freshman Hilaria Cassama (New Bedford MA) also contributed with a scored goal. Bristol improves to an overall 3-3 record.
Brian Fernandes, Director of Athletics stated "I'm really proud of this team and coach Braley. She's done a fantastic job keeping the group together through discipline, grit and excitement". Coach Braley, who took over the head coaching duties of the team during the preseason, now has the Bayhawks back in the playoffs!
Bristol returns to action Saturday, October 19th. The Bayhawks will travel to the Community College of Rhode Island (Lincoln campus) for a 12pm game. Please follow our athletics website and social media pages for more information.
